Musings, eeeek, ekk

Knowing me, Knowing you aha!
Chiquita tell me what's wrong..
You've been dreaming of, we'll live forever

Milay's mp3 speakers are blasting ABBA and Chicago! It's blast from the past! I don't know whether to be annoyed or to be glad. It's on repeat mode and it already went 5 cycles, i think. But since my sound card (or drivers) are not working properly, I'm almost happy when I hear music. I never thought I could go a day without mp3 but it's been a month now. (whaaaahuhuhu)

It's halloween. horror flicks are on the tube for 3 nights! I was almost scared shitless last night. ALMOST! I've never seen that movie before, and I don't like not knowing beforehand what I'm watching. Hey, why are suspense films gripping? I was very late today because the Kris Aquino-starrer Feng Shui was on. It was still a little scary. What is scary for me about Pinoy horror films is the hopelessness about it. It's not in your sphere of control, all the stories about kulam, engkanto, multo and stuff. These transcend technology, common sense and logic but they still make me wary of the dark and the night. Ohhh, looking forward to the weekend of spookiness and screamfest! (Break out into Nickelodean weekend song: Hey, you wanna, you wanna, wanna weekend! or if you like, Enjoy your Disney Channel weekend! Whatever Mel!)

Hyperacidity! Plus with cold and cough! It's a terrible combination. Just took TUMS Xtra Strength! Hanep, kainis talaga. Rutchy was kidding me about me buying the meds from the pharmacy instead of getting it for free from the clinic. (Milay is playing Next time I fall in love) Ayoko na mapagalitan ni Nurse Daisy.

Speaking of Nurse Daisy, she was jiving last night with a few NCCC employees at the fitness program. There's a Pinoy Big Looser weight loss plan. It was cool. The instructor was excellent. The dance moves were new and I rather think, effective too. What I was not cool about was the aerobics was done in the middle of the housing fair. Di ko kaya! Saludo to those who had no qualms doing it. What discipline and motivation they had!

It's 9pm and everyone here at the office except for Gracie and JJ are still busy typing their butts off. hehehee. huhuhuhu..help! Still have not completed the 2009 programs. I'm up to my ears in deep trouble. To top it all off, I fear that the creativity bug had not visited me for a while now. It scares me, functionality and indispensability.

Hmm, does religion and superstition go together? If not together, just parallel? Do same principles apply? I'm just wondering because I know many religious people who are also very superstitious. I'm like, huh? What gives? Hay, here we go again.

Shift! The housing fair! There are many attractive offers. Option 1: Keisha - 3 bedrooms, just near RK's Option 2: Joyful Homes - nice house, downside: Cabantian, 100 sqm Lot Area. Option 3: Wellsprings Highlands, 140 sqm, 3 bedrooms, downside: house perspective not very good. Option 4: Elenita Heights, mura, kaso malayo. So many choices, the money is so few...hehehe..what to do? priorities! focus mel, focus!

got to go home now. I'm a mommi you, you know. I know.

First Class

Here's a lesson on body parts, Basti-Style.

a Midnight tryst

The once in a lifetime adventure took place two weeks ago.

It was a clear, starry night. The moon was bright.

It was a scary flight yet the fear made it more thrilling.

Going out was reckless but we sought the temptress, adventure.

We went with nothing but clothes on our backs and money of course.

Away we went, faster and faster we rode. We danced to the beat.

We toured
the streets. Until we reached our destination.

It was a relief to arrive unscathed. I was happy. He was unperturbed.

I walked ahead. He strutted along, unaware of the stares.

I asked him, what do you want? He looked and looked.

At last, he pointed and spoke, "burger".

Alas, the spell was broken! Everyone rejoiced!

They too were thrilled. After a brief interlude, we took our loot.

Then, we waited and waited. For our ride home.

When we went back, there was an uproar. We apologized for the unplanned leaving.

Then, we had a feast.

Too soon, it was over.

As we lay on our backs, our eyes still open, we were still aware of the adventure that we just had.

It would not be forgotten, forever it will linger.

We faced each other and grinned, it turned to giggles to f ull laughter.

Oh what a day it was. what a day indeed!

PS. This was my poor attempt at creating something lyrical or poetic. chalk it up to lack of sleep. Oh, as a consequence, he suffered from too much sweets. Tsk,tsk. Adventure does have its rewards, but sometimes, it pays poorly. But hear this, we had fun. (oh stop!)

Blabbermouth

I always think that I speak too much, too soon in fact.

I don't think at all that
sometimes I end up regretting talking at all.

I speak many things but I fear I say little.

(sigh)
